the Awakening Orchestra is RECORDING!

The Awakening Orchestra will be heading into the studio in early November to record our second studio album, volume ii: to call her to a higher plain. We’ve created a crowdfunding campaign to help offset some of the costs, and you can see that here. Be a part of the process!

In 2012, the Awakening Orchestra recorded our debut album, this is not the answer, with the help of many of you. We're about to head back into the studio for our long-overdue follow-up, to call her to a higher plain., and we - quite literally - can't do it without you. The Awakening Orchestra is a 20-piece New York City collaborative ensemble featuring musicians of the highest caliber, with a collective sound honed by fifteen years of public performance. We have seven years' worth of music to record, including: - a second symphony, 2016's i can see my country from here. - a violin concerto, 2015's to call her to a higher plain. featuring soloist Brooke Quiggins - arrangements of works by Aaron Copland, Bill Frisell, and Nine Inch Nails - and more! By connecting directly to our audience through crowdfunding, we can offset the tremendous costs of recording a large ensemble album. Your contribution will go towards tracking, overdubs and edits, mixing, mastering, duplication, visual design, and promotion.
