Russ Kaplan - composer of In Transit - and his ferocious 8-piece band return to Green Room 42 for their bi-monthly series Russ Kaplan's Broadway Jazz Session. Along with all-star guest vocalists Telly Leung (Aladdin) and Joanna Alexis Jones (Hamilton), Kaplan and friends ransack the Broadway songbook for radical twists on your favorite showtunes, from Hello Dolly to The Band's Visit and everything in between. Russ Kaplan's Broadway Jazz Session offers, swingin, funky and soulful takes on songs you only THINK you know!

Ahead of the Awakening Orchestra's release of interlude: Atticus Live! - the music of Jesse Lewis on Biophilia Records on December 6th, we've begun to release some video content of the recording, which happened in February 2015 at ShapeShifter Lab. Check out the title track Atticus, below, and stay tuned for more video being posted on the Orchestra's Vimeo page in the coming days and weeks.
Young the Giant's September 17th tour stop at Radio City Music Hall will include a string quartet featuring several of Kyle's arrangements for the music of their latest release, Home of the Strange.
After some new developments, the Awakening Orchestra will release Atticus Live! - the music of Jesse Lewis. 12.06.2016 on Biophilia Records. Founded by the extraordinary Fabian Almazan, Biophilia is a perfect vehicle for Jesse's music, with its emphasis on community and the environment.
A three-part series brought to you by the Awakening Orchestra and ShapeShifter Plus, election year: a Work in progress. will showcase a brand new symphony by Kyle Saulnier, to be composed across the entire span of the election year as events unfold. Each of the three performances will see new movements and material added to the work, relevant to both the 2016 election cycle in real time and to the dates on which the performances will occur.

Check out Patrick Cornelius' While We're Still Young, his latest record on Whirlwind Recordings inspired by the poetry of A.A. Milne. Co-produced by Kyle, the record features Patrick, Jason Palmer, John Ellis, Nick Vayenas, Miles Okazaki, Gerald Clayton, Peter Slavov, and Kendrick Scott, and Patrick's writing for the record is truly beautiful.
